Prerequisite(s): College Readiness in English and College Readiness in Quantitative Literacy Math
Provides an introduction to modern geological and physical oceanography, with lesser emphasis on chemical and biological oceanography. Plate tectonics, seafloor geomorphology, marine sediments, coasts, physical and chemical properties of seawater, marine resources, environmental concerns, and water movement in currents, waves, and tides are among the topics covered.
