ASL 1121 - American Sign Language I 5 Credits 75 Lecture Hours
Exposes the student to American Sign Language. Readiness activities are conducted focusing on visual/receptive skills and basic communication. Utilizes the direct experience method. Students must complete this course with a `B` or higher or pass the ASL proficiency test with a score of at least 80% or better prior to registering for American Sign Language II (ASL 1122) if planning to enroll in the Interpreter Preparation Program.
